Union and Meadville Colleges; interested in the Young & Harrington Coal Co., until 1895, then in the coal business alone, until 1898, when he formed partnership with James H. Woods, under present name; pres. and treas. the Kirk-Latty Mnfg. Co.; treas. Hazel Kirk Gas Coal Co.; pres. the Ohio Tonopah Mining Co.; vice pres. A. B. C. Lead & Zinc Co.; director Mud Lake Lumber Co.; 32nd° Mason, K. T., Mystic Shriner, B. P. O. E., No. 18, and K. of P.; member Union, Euclid, Clifton Park, and Cleveland Gun Clubs, Gentleman’s Driving Association, and Duquesne Club, Pittsburgh; Rushmere Club, St. Clair Flats; Republican.
