F. Fox insurance office; in Cleveland office of O. D. Case & Co., Hartford, Conn.; pub. of “Greely’s American Conflict”; bookkeeper for J. J. Parsons & Co.; from 19 to 40 with Cleveland, Brown & Co., iron and steel manufacturers; he went from desk to desk, and eventually became a member of the firm; in 1889, became connected with the Forest City Paint and Varnish Co.; has been connected with its growth from a very small concern to one of Cleveland’s most important plants, is now pres. and treas. of the company; vice pres.
