Kundtz, Theodore; manufacturer; born, Unter-Metzenseifen, Hungary, July 1, 1852; son of Joseph and Theresia (Kesselbauer) Kundtz; public school education; married, Cleveland, 1884, Marie Ballash; five sons, four daughters; mfg. of church, school and sewing-machine furniture, automobile wheels and bodies, and furniture hardware, beginning from the log, employing about 2200 people; inventor of several processes in aid of manufacture; knighted by Emperor Francis Joseph I., with the Franz-Josef’s Order, 1903; director United Savings & Trust Co., and Forest City Savings and Trust Co.; member of several benevolent and mutual societies. Favorite recreation: Automobiling.
