Edmund Ingalls, son of Robert, was born about 1598 in Skirbeck, Lincolnshire, England. He immigrated in 1628 to Salem, Massachusetts and with his brother, Francis, founded Lynn, Massachusetts in 1629. He married Ann, fathered nine children, and died in 1648.
E.G. Tyler, land, loan and abstract office, was born in Chittenden County, Vt., Feb. 15th, 1856; in 1866 moved to Hastings, Minn.; thence to Dunlap, Ia., in 1867. He graduated in 1878 from the Iowa Agricultural College, at Ames, Ia. In 1879 he opened the office in Logan. He is a member of the I.O.O.F.

He died 1 May, 1705/8, estate inventory dated 1 May 1708. Married at Windsor, 5 May, 1669 by Rev. Wolcott, Mary Denslow, daughter of Henry, Windsor, born 10 Aug. 1651, died at Windsor 14 June, 1739, ae 91. Mary was admitted to Windsor Church in 1686. Thomas served in the Colonial Wars. Hon. Austin Tyler, who was an extensive builder and the largest land-owner of his day in Claremont, was born there, January 6, 1790, son of Ephraim and Abigail (Pardee) Tyler. His grandfather, Colonel Benjamin Tyler, born at Wallingford, Conn., February 22, 1732, married Mehitable Andrews, and removed to Farmington, Conn. From that place Colonel Tyler went to Claremont in the spring of 1767, and the Town History gives the information that he built the first dam across Sugar River at West Claremont, having been given a tract of land for that purpose by the town. During the Indian wars various kinds of fortifications were built by the settlers along the Saco river. Some of these were put up by individuals for the better protection of their own families, and others were built by authority of the Provincial Government and paid for from appropriations voted “for the defense of the frontier.” When the Indians threatened the settlement along the coast the people importuned the Great and General Court for funds to erect forts and blockhouses. Annie Elizabeth Tyler passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 1941, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank J. Hambelton, where she had made her home during winter months for the past six years. Two and one half years ago Mrs. Tyler suffered a paralytic stroke, which resulted in her death. Her funeral was held in the Booth chapel Saturday morning, with Rev. O. M. Joseph Hancock, a rancher near San Bernardino, was born near Cleveland, Ohio, in 1822, and is the son of Solomon and Alta (Adams) Hancock, natives of Massachusetts and Vermont respectively.
