LaVeda Ruth Watson, 73, of Joseph died March 8 at her home. A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday March 15 at the Enterprise Nazarene Church.
Mrs. Watson was born Sept. 15, 1931, to Henry and Ruby Carper in Wallowa. She worked as a licensed practical nurse at Wallowa Memorial Hospital and retired in 1981 when she married Ralph Watson. She was active in her church and participated in the senior meals. She enjoyed playing cards, picking mushrooms, picture puzzles and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Butterfield; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Towell Carper; a sister, Rose Marie Reynolds; and other relatives. Her husband died earlier.
Memorials may be made to the church in care of Bollman Funeral Home, 315 W. Main St., Enterprise.

LaVeda Ruth Watson, 73, died at her home in Joseph on March 8, 2005. She was born in Wallowa on Sept. 15, 1931.
Mrs. Watson was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Wallowa Memorial Hospital. She retired when she married Ralph Watson in 1981 and they enjoyed 12 years together. She was active in her church and senior meals. She loved playing cards with family and friends, going mushrooming, and doing picture and crossword puzzles.
Mrs. Watson is survived by her brother Towell Carper, sister Rose Marie Reynolds, daughter Donna Butterfield, seven nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces and -nephews, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents Henry and Ruby Carper.
Memorial services were held March 15 at the Enterprise Nazarene Church. Contributions in her memory may be made to the church in care of Bollman Funeral Home.
