Jordan, Merwin “Rusty” – Obituary

Merwin “Rusty” Jordan, 88, a former Baker City resident, died Dec. 7, 2002, at Eugene.

No service is planned. Poole Larson is in charge of arrangements.

Rusty was born Nov. 6, 1914, in Washtucna, Wash., and was the oldest of three sons born to Rosco and Kate Jordan. He grew up in La Grande, later moving to Baker City where he lived for over 40 years and worked as a welder.

In 1941, he married Dorothy Walker of La Grande. He and his wife moved to Eugene in 1996.
Rusty enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening and playing cards. He also enjoyed owning pets over the years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Sue Jordan of Eugene; a son, Patrick Jordan of New Jersey; one granddaughter and one great-grandson; and brother, Delmar Jordan of Kennewick, Wash.
