Prosperous Young Rancher Succumbs to Attack of Appendicitis–is Survived by Widow and Three Children
Harvey S.[F] Hearing, aged 35, lifelong resident of Haines, died at 10 minutes after noon today at St. Elizabeth’s hospital of gangrenous appendicitis for which he was operated on 16 days ago.
Mr. Hearing was a rancher living west of Haines.
He is survived by a widow, three children, Elmo, Arma[Erma] and Glen, aged from eight to four, by his mother, Mrs. Susan Hearing, by four brothers, James, Ernest, Earl and Samuel Hearing and two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Yankey and Mrs. Nellie Stanley, all of Haines. Another sister, Mrs. Anna Hanpham[Harpham], lives at Council, Idaho.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at Haines under the auspices of the Odd Fellows lodge, of which Mr. Hearing was a member.
