Biographical Sketch of James E. Sloan

(See Ghigau)-James Ellis, son of Edward E. and Naomi (Cole) Sloan, born January 7, 1894, educated in Delaware Districts and Male Seminary.

Married at Claremore December 1, 1917, Gillie May, daughter of John M. and Mary C. (Roper) Carroll, born March 24, 1898 in Delaware District, educated at Big Cabin.

They are the parents of: Percilla May, born August 25, 1918; Naomi Caroline, born March 1, 1920; and Dorris Louise, born June 12, 1921.

Mr. Sloan enlisted in the World War September 3, 1918, and was mustered out January 7, 1919.

Thomas Martin Raper married Marcella Ferandes Townsend, their daughter Mary Caroline Raper married John M. Carroll and they were the parents of Mrs. Gillie May Sloan.
