William R. Sanders Died At His Home Here Last Friday
William Sanders, pioneer resident of this section, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Dalton, Friday, March 26, aged 68 years. He was born in Indiana and came to this part of the country at an early date. Mr. Sanders had been in poor health for several years, and for the past few weeks had been confined to his room.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Methodist church, Miss Blokland officiating. The local lodge of Odd Fellows attended in a body and had charge of the services at the grave. Interment was in the city cemetery.

Whereas, the Supreme Ruler of the Universe in his infinite wisdom, has taken from us our beloved brother, William R. Sanders.
Therefore, be it resolved, that this Lodge has lost a faithful and true Odd Fellow, and that we extend to the children of our deceased brother our sincerest sympathy, in this, their hour of bereavement.
That a copy of these resolutions be spread upon the records of this Lodge, a copy be sent to the children of our deceased brother, under the seal of the Lodge, and copy he sent to the North Powder News for publication.
