Earnest (Bill) Showers passed away on August 18, 1978 at the General Hospital at Sandpoint, Idaho. His home address was Sagle, Idaho.
Born October 21, 1934 at Enterprise, he was the son of Kenneth and Dorothy Showers. He lived in Enterprise and Wallowa County from birth to 1969. He was a millwright, and a veteran of the Korean War.
On September 23, 1967, he was married to June Frades at Enterprise.
Mr. Showers was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church of Enterprise.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 22 at 2: 00 p.m. at the Bollman Chapel with Rev. Geary F. Bird officiating. Organist was Lillian Maasdam.
Pall bearers were Churchel Smith, George Chandler, Bob Trump, Doyle Elliott, Jim Russell and Don Bronson. Honorary bearers were Rollie Mattson, Butch Arbogast, Valero Harvey, Henry W. Kinsley and Bob Steimmel.
Military committal services were held by the Wallowa lake Post #157 of the American Legion, Joseph. Internment was at the Prairie Creek Cemetery in Joseph.
Survivors are his wife of Sagle, Idaho, two daughters, Debra and Tami Showers of Sagle, parents Mr. and Mrs., Kenneth Showers of Redford, Michigan, and a sister, Joyce Bird of Redford.
