Bommhardt, John A.; patent and claim attorney, born, Hastings, Minn., Sept. 14, 1862; son of Jacob and Elizabeth Glock Bommhardt; educated, St. Paul’s German Parish School, May-flower School, and Business College, all of Cleveland; married, Cleveland, July 21, 1901, Catherine F. Kavanaugh; issue, two children; sec’y Cuyahoga County Republican Executive Committee, since 1909; Past State Commander Ohio Division of Sons of Veterans; sec’y of Cuyahoga County Memorial Day Committee since 1900; entered the law office of the late Milo B. Steven, in January, 1880, and was connected with the pension and patent business of this firm until 1908; being located at Cleveland, Chicago, Detroit, and for a short period at Washington, D. C.; in 1908, started in business for himself; solicitor and attorney in matters pertaining to patents and pensions and departmental practises, with offices in Cleveland and Washington; firm name John A. Bommhardt & Co.; member Woodward Lodge, No. 508, and Al Sirat Grotto, No. 17; Lookout Camp, Sons of Veterans; Cleveland Lodge, No. 18, Elks; Cleveland Lodge No. 63, Loyal Order of Moose; member German Club.
