Robert Campbell, from Bradford, N. H., came to this town about 1828, and settled near Centerville, upon the farm now owned by his son, Calvin, where he died, in 1865. Calvin was six years of age when his father worked here. He has been twice married, to Jane and Lucy A. Herrick, sisters, and has six children. Mr. Campbell has been engaged in mercantile pursuits here since 1867. David, son of Robert, came here with his father at the age of eighteen years, and has been a resident of the town since. Of his family of five children, two now live in the town.
