This survey of Wintergreen Cemetery, Port Gibson, Mississippi, was completed in 1956 by Mr. Gordon M. Wells and published by Joyce Bridges the same year. It contains the cemetery readings Mr. Wells was able to obtain at that date. It is highly likely that not all of the gravestones had survived up to that point, and it is even more likely that a large portion of interred individuals never had a gravestone.

Richard Wright, of Culpepper County, Va., was a soldier of the war of 1812. He married Ann Smith, of Virginia, and settled in Warren County, Mo., in 1822. In 1858 he removed to Lincoln County, where he died. His children were Elizabeth, Henry C., Susannah, Ann M., George W., and Francis M. Elizabeth married Marion Ross, who settled in Lincoln County. Henry C. is a physician. He settled in Warren County, and when the North Missouri Railroad was built he laid off a town on his farm, and called it Wright City. Died While Alone  Wednesday the dead body of R.H. Wright was found at his home on Clover creek in the southwestern part of Union county and the indications are that he had been dead about three days before being discovered. The deceased was an old man about sixty six years old and was living alone for some time in his little cabin. Deceased was a brother of Mrs. Estes of Union. Wright, 68, valley farmer, was fatally injured yesterday afternoon [August 15, 1934] when he was struck by a car driven by Rex Willard of Pullman as he stepped from behind a car into the highway five miles east of town on the Vantage Road. Mr. Wright, riding to a point near his home with George Minielly, had left the car and stepped from behind the car to cross the highway en route home.
