Compiled military service records for 1,235 Rough Riders, including Teddy Roosevelt have been digitized. The records include individual jackets which give the name, organization, and rank of each soldier. They contain cards on which information from original records relating to the military service of the individual has been copied. Included in the main jacket are carded medical records, other documents which give personal information, and the description of the record from which the information was obtained.
“James Webb’s Death Ends Long Illness” Death came to James Webb, old-time resident of Union, last Saturday at Hot Lake after a long illness. He was born in Iowa in 1874, and was aged 56 years, nine months and two days. He came west with the George Wilkinson family in 1890, and settled in High Valley, where he lived until his marriage to Nora Wilkinson in 1897. Thereafter he was a Union resident. Married January 21, 1882 Elizabeth Parker, daughter of Parker Collies and Elizabeth (Little) Harris, and they were the parents of Maude Ella Webb, born May 25, 1890. Miss Webb was educated at the Female Seminary; and is at present cashier in a drug store in Oklahoma City.
John Todd5, (John4, John3, John2, Christopher1) born Jan. 8, 1731, died Aug. 29, 1814, married Jemima,daughter of Daniel and Jemima (Lownsbury) Hoit, born Aug. 13, 1735, died Feb. 3, 1826. She was a descendant of Simeon Hoyte who settled in Charlestown, Mass. in 1629. The name had numerous variations such as Hoyt, Haight, Hait, Hayt, etc. Simeon Hoyte died at Stamford, Conn. There is an account of the family in Bolton’s History of Westchester County, New York, as well as a history of the Hoyt family of Stamford. Added to some of those gravestone listings were familial relationships if known. In addition, they referenced an even earlier listing of a few of the cemeteries by William Eardley taken in 1901.

Being a history of the descendants of Richard Dexter of Malden, Massachusetts, from the notes of John Haven Dexter and original researches. Richard Dexter, who was admitted an inhabitant of Boston (New England), Feb. 28, 1642, came from within ten miles of the town of Slane, Co. Meath, Ireland, and belonged to a branch of that family of Dexter who were descendants of Richard de Excester, the Lord Justice of Ireland. He, with his wife Bridget, and three or more children, fled to England from the great Irish Massacre of the Protestants which commenced Oct. 27, 1641. When Richard Dexter and family left England and by what vessel, we are unable to state, but he could not have remained there long, as we know he was living at Boston prior to Feb. 28, 1642.
