Funeral for Florence Gaynell Windsor will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Folsom-Bishop Funeral Chapel, Pendleton, with burial at Olney Cemetery, Pendleton. Mrs. Windsor, 90, Pendleton, died Wednesday, May 16, 1984, at Delamarter Care Center, Pendleton.
She was born July 9, 1893 at Pendleton, the daughter of O. P. and Eva Stickler Bowman. Her grandparents came to the area with a wagon train and her parents were pioneers in the area. Her father, O. P. Bowman, built the Bowman Hotel.
Mrs. Windsor grew up in the Pendleton area and attended Oregon State Agricultural College at Corvallis, now Oregon State University. She was married to Fredrick Windsor who died in 1947. Mrs. Windsor was employed by the East Oregonian Newspaper in Pendleton for many years.
Survivors include a son, Donald Windsor, Pendleton; a daughter, Loree Cortez, Kailua Kona, Hawaii, a brother, Robert Bowman, Pendleton, and a sister, Leona Moser, Pendleton; there are 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
