Peter Joseph Tucori II, 59, of Portland and formerly of La Grande, died July 24 at the Veterans Hospital in Portland after a long battle with cancer. At his request there was no service.
Mr. Tucori was born June 4, 1947, to Peter Sr. and Frances Tucori in Baker. His first home was a log cabin in Medical Springs, where his father worked at the Pondosa mill.
He graduated from La Grande High School in 1964. He then served in the Navy for four years during the Vietnam War.
He moved to Portland where he went to barber school. He and his brother, Frank, opened a couple of barber shops in Lake Oswego. They worked together styling hair for many years.
Mr. Tucori met the love of his life, Eileen Seabold, who was also in the hair business. They spent the last 15 years together sharing life’s good times and bad.
He is survived by Eileen; his brother, Frank Tucori of La Grande; and a nephew, Travis Tucori.
