Steve was born in Loon Lake, Wash. He opened and operated W. F. Stevens Trucking & Excavating.
He and his wife, Ida, lived in Baker City 1953-1977 where he worked for the cement plant in Durkee and Ellingson Lumber.
Steve is survived by his wife, Ida. M.; and daughter, Carol Hansen.
A graveside service was held Monday, April 27, 2009, in Willamette National Cemetery. Arrangements by Omega Funeral & Cremation Service.
