Baker City, Oregon
Barbara E. O’Donnell, 57, a longtime Baker City resident, died Feb. 8, 2001, at St. Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise after a long battle with diabetes.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1250 Hughes Lane. Pastor Lennie Spooner will officiate. Vault interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitations will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Mrs. O’Donnell was born on July 1, 1943, at East Berlin, Germany, to Wilhelm and Analise Stevenhagen. She married Anthony W. O’Donnell at New Castle, Del. They moved to Baker City in 1978 and had lived here since.
Mrs. O’Donnell was active in the choir at the Baker City Church of the Nazarene and sang individually for fund-raisers and other church functions. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, crocheting and making other crafts. She was a very loving wife, mother and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband, Tony O’Donnell of Baker City; and a daughter, Carman O’Donnell of New Castle, Del.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wilhelm Stevenhagen; her mother, Analise Stevenhagen; a brother, Heinze Stevenhagen; and a son, Adam W. O’Donnell.
