Molstrom, Henry W. – Obituary

Funeral for Henry Molstrom of Pendleton, who died Friday night [September 12, 1975] at St. Anthony Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Burns Mortuary.

He was born at Athena, February 9, 1891. He moved to DeSpain Gulch with his parents, Henry and Margaret Tengman Molstrom, who secured a homestead in 1898, and the same year purchased the Hartwell ranch. His parents built a new home in DeSpain Gulch in 1905. Mr. Molstrom farmed the home place until 1968, when he retired and moved to Pendleton.

He was a member of the Elks, a life member of the Round-Up Hall of Fame, a life member of the Oregon Wheat League, a member of the Umatilla County Democratic Central Committee for 40 years, and a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Survivors are the widow, Fannie L; son, Dale, Portland; stepson, Norman Brothers, Pendleton; stepdaughter, Betty Wiginton, San Francisco; grandchildren, Jeffrey Molstrom, Jeanne Speaker and Diane Wiginton, all of Portland, and Janie Erickson, Bend; four great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.

Interment will be in Olney Cemetery.
