Lois E. Mitchell, 80, of Redmond died April 1, 2007.
Her funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Daniels Chapel of the Valley in La Grande. A committal service will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
Lois was born April 21, 1926, in Baker City to Harold B. and Nancy B. (Luster) Doherty. She married Earl “Bob” Mitchell in September 1946 in Baker.
She worked for First Interstate Bank for more than 30 years, and spent her entire working years in banking. She retired in 1991. She was active in Soroptimists, Emblem Club 840, American Legion Auxiliary and Lady of the Elks La Grande golf club.
She enjoyed playing bridge and gardening.
Lois lived in La Grande for more than 50 years, and moved to Redmond one and a half years ago to be near family.
She is survived by a son, Bob Mitchell of Eatonville, Wash., and a daughter, Janis Montreuil of Redmond; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her her parents, her husband, one brother and one sister.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association.
