Robert Eugene Hayman, 67, died at his home June 30, 2006.
Bob was born Dec. 30, 1938, and spent his early years in Helena, Mont. He also lived in Billings, Mont., for awhile. He graduated from Helena High School in 1954 and served in the military in the Vietnam War.
In 1972 he moved to Portland, Ore., where he met a young woman through the Friendship Club. They were married in December of 1973.
He had two children, daughter, Janet born Sept. 9, 1975, and son, Gary born on Dec. 9, 1976. His children were the pride and joy of his life.
Bob lived in Boise, Idaho, for a few years before moving to Baker City. In 1980 he returned to Portland, Ore., and remained there for the last 20 years.
During his life he worked as a Restaurant Cook in Montana, Idaho and Oregon.
He loved his pets and always had dogs and birds. Most recently he had four Doves and parakeets. He even cared for gerbils.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother and step father and mother.
He is survived by his son, Gary Hayman of Portland, Ore.; daughter, Janet Hayman; ex-wife, Corlene Hayman, of Portland who remained his friend for over 34 years.
All his friends will miss him.
There will be a graveside service at a later time.
