Mrs. Eva Hartley Buried Thursday At Cove, Oregon
Eva May Baker, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Baker, was born at Cove, Ore. June 5, 1905. She was united in marriage to Ray Hartley on Sept. 2, 1923. To this union were born two sons, Alfred George, aged 7 and Russel Clark, aged 5. Mrs. Hartley contracted pneumonia and was taken to Hot Lake where she passed away, March 22, 1932. She was a member of the Methodist church of Cove, also a teacher in the Sunday school. She was always a devoted wife and mother.
Funeral services were held in the Methodist church Thursday afternoon with the Rev. C. E. Calame officiating. The many beautiful floral offerings showed how the Cove people loved her. Burial took place in the Cove cemetery.
Besides her husband and sons, she leaves her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. George Baker, three brothers, Roy J. and Earl of Cove, and Ray O. of Pendleton, also a half-brother, Dr. C. E. Saunders of San Jose, Cal. besides other relatives and a host of friends who mourn her passing and extend heartfelt sympathy to her family.
