There lived at and figured prominently in the affairs of Fall River for many years and was one of the city’s most useful citizens the late Cook Borden, who most worthily wore the Borden name and sustained the family reputation, and has been followed by sons who carried forward the work he began and left, and who have been or are now active and influential in the city’s affairs – substantial men of the community. The generations from the emigrant ancestor follow somewhat in detail.
Cove, Union County, Oregon Mrs. Eva Hartley Buried Thursday At Cove, Oregon Eva May Baker, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Baker, was born at Cove, Ore. June 5, 1905. She was united in marriage to Ray Hartley on Sept. 2, 1923. To this union were born two sons, Alfred George, aged 7 and Russel Clark, aged 5. For a number of years he was actively identified with Kansas journalism and then returned to Baldwin City where he is now one of the leading merchants. This survey of Wintergreen Cemetery, Port Gibson, Mississippi, was completed in 1956 by Mr. Gordon M. Wells and published by Joyce Bridges the same year. It contains the cemetery readings Mr. Wells was able to obtain at that date. It is highly likely that not all of the gravestones had survived up to that point, and it is even more likely that a large portion of interred individuals never had a gravestone.
