Ellen M Crampton, 76, of Baker City, died Feb. 23, 2008, at St Elizabeth Health Services surrounded by family and friends after a bout with pneumonia.
It was her wish that there would be no funeral service or viewing, and her family honored her wishes.
Ellen was born on March 24, 1931, at Murphy, Idaho, to Walker T. and Sarah Churchill Horton.
Ellen was a 25-year member of the Boise Eagles, and a 23-year resident of Baker City. She retired in 1993 from St. Elizabeth Hospital where she served as a scrub nurse and also as a floor nurse in patient care.
Survivors include her husband, Patrick Crampton; daughters, Merry Ellen Still, Rose Henderson, and Rhonda Sue and her husband, John Robinson; and numerous stepchildren, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She requested that nobody send flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Eagles Cancer Fund through Coles Funeral Home, 1950 Place St., Baker City, OR 97814 or your local Eagles Cancer Fund.
