Edwin W. Bloom died at the home of Mrs. H.C. Cramer on Monday May 11, 1936, following a short illness. Mr. Bloom had an attack of flu which turned into quick pneumonia. Funeral services will be held this afternoon in the Booth Chapel, Rev. CN Trout officiating and internment will be in the local cemetery.
Edwin W. Bloom was born on Alder Slope on September 24, 1882, the son of Mr. and Mrs. R.W. Bloom and had lived in the county all his life. During war years, he ran the Enterprise livery stable and later worked as a barn forman for the Eastern Oregon Lumber Company. He married mary Cramer on december 24, 1906. Besides the widow, he is survived by one brother, Louis, of Estacada, Oregon.
Ed, as he was familiarily known, had a host of friends who morn his passing.
