Chagrin Falls schools, 1888-1901; granted life high school certificate in 1886; director The Chagrin Falls Banking Co.; member Cleveland Fire Insurance Exchange; pres. Chagrin Falls Board of Education, 1907; trustee Chagrin Falls M. E. Church; member I. O. O. F., No. 290; Golden Gate Lodge, No. 245, P. & A. M.; Chagrin Falls Chapter, No. 152, R. A. M.; Oriental Commandery, No. 12, Knights Templars; earned every dollar he ever had to spend on a college education.
