Leila Afton Moore, 79, a former Baker and La Grande resident die June 20 in Redlands, Calif.
Mrs. Moore was born Dec.3, 1907 in Lima, Mont. She married William H. Moore on May 4, 1934. He died Nov. 12, 1971. They lived in Baker a number of years before moving to La Grande. She lived in Redlands the past two years. She was a member of the Unite Methodist Church of La Grande.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Pitsaros and a son-in-law Ted Pitsaros; a grandson, Chris and a granddaughter, Melinda, all of Redlands; a sister, Jean Harsin of LaGrande; four brother, August Haefer of Island City, Royal Haefer and Elvin Haefer of La Grande; and Don Haefer of Union.
Memorial services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of La Grande with Revs. James and Rebecca Wenger-Monroe officiating.
Private interment was held at the Union Cemetery. Payne Family Mortuary, 1508 Fourth St., is in charge of the local arrangements.
