White Mountain Apache Tribe
The White Mountain Apache Tribe, originally known as the Sierra Blanca Apache and part of the Coyoteros, is based in Arizona under the Fort Apache agency. By 1910, the population included 2,269 individuals from various clans such as Arivaipa, Chiricahua, and Mimbreño. Captain Bourke documented numerous clan names, reflecting the tribe’s rich cultural heritage, including Akonye, Chilchadilkloge, and Tzlanapah, among others, along with foreign clans like Tzekinne and Nakaydi.
