Baker City, Oregon Wayne Monroe Rogers, 93, of Baker City died Dec. 7, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Health Services. His memorial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Coles Funeral Home, 1950 Place St. Pastor Robin Harris of Cornerstone Church will officiate. Disposition was by cremation at Eastern Oregon Pioneer Crematory. Wayne was born Sept. 15, 1913, at Smith Center, Kan., to Harry W. and Margret Rogers. The family moved to Idaho in 1917, first to Twin Falls and then to Filer, and later to Barber. Wayne finished school in Barber where he met Ardis Rea. The two got married … Read more

Mark Alan Nelson, 52, was born Feb. 12, 1954, to Charles and Joyce Nelson, in Seattle, Wash. Mark passed away Nov. 25, 2006, at St. Alphonus Hospital, in Boise Idaho, due to heart failure. Mark graduated from Seattle High School, in Seattle Wash., in 1972. He enlisted in the Army right out of High School and went to Vietnam as a helicopter medic and was honorably discharged. After the military, Mark came back to Seattle, Wash., where he owned a Tavern business, silk screening business and then managed a company that manufactured composite water skies. Baker City, Oregon Ed Cox, 63, died on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2006, in Baker City, Ore., at St. Elizabeth Health Services. He will be interred in the family plot at the Olathe Cemetery in Olathe, Colo. Edwin Minor Cox was born on July 24, 1943, in Norwood, Colo., to Betty and Isaac Cox. The family moved from Norwood to Olathe, Colo., where Ed was raised and educated. Baker City, Oregon Veva “Sue” Hamblin Riding, 94, of Baker City, died Dec. 1, 2006, at Settler’s Park. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St., in Murray, Utah. Visitations will be at 10 a.m. Thursday. She was born on March 19, 1912, at Milford, Utah, to Edwin Obed Hamblin and Josephine Milne Hamblin. Skyler James Webb-Prevo, 17, of Baker City died Oct. 25, 2006, at St. Lukes Hospital in Boise.
