Prevo, Skyler James Webb – Obituary

Skyler James Webb-Prevo, 17, of Baker City died Oct. 25, 2006, at St. Lukes Hospital in Boise.

His memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1250 Hughes Lane. Pastor Dean Barnes will officiate.

Skyler was born on June 6, 1989, at Albany. He attended school through the eighth grade at Eddyville. His freshman year, he moved to Baker City and started at Baker High School.

Skyler’s heart condition caused him to drop out of school his senior year. He was able to complete school and get his GED. He had planned to get his bachelor’s degree and later his master’s in library science.

He loved books and reading. He also loved riding horses, watching the TV show “Charmed” and playing with his baby brother, even with their age difference.

Skyler was a quiet and caring child. He loved to help others; he would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. He was not judgmental and was accepting of everyone.

Survivors include his parents, Mary Prevo and Dirk Prevo, both of Baker City; brothers, Justin Prevo, Loren Prevo, Maxwell Prevo and Korbyn Johnson; grandparents, Linda Adams, Sterling and Terri Grant, and Sharon and Ralph Morgan; five uncles; one aunt; and numerous cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with Skyler’s services through Gray’s West & Co., 1500 Dewey Ave., Baker City, OR 97814 or at the donation jars in various locations around town.
