Few business men in Southern Kansas have a better record of substantial accomplishment than Terkel Jensen, who had been successfully identified with the wholesale produce business in this state for more than a quarter of a century, and is president of the Emporia Ice and Cold Storage Company, a large enterprise which is a direct outgrowth of his extensive operations as a produce commission man. Jensen, Hellen Mrs. – Obituary

Death Come To Hellen Jensen Mrs. Hellen Jensen, 72, long-time Ellensburg resident and widow of Jens. C. Jensen, died Sunday at Sorensen Memorial Hospital. She had been hospitalized for two weeks. Mrs. Jensen was born May 24, 1883, in Wabassee, Canada, and came to Ellensburg in 1900. She and Mr. Jensen were married here in April, 1900. They farmed for a number of years in the Kittitas area. Alexander Bisset Munro was born 25 Dec. 1793 at Inverness, Scotland to Donald and Janet (Bisset) Munro. Alexander left Scotland at the age of 14, and lived in Dimecrana in the West Indies for 18 years. He owned a plantation, raising cotton, coffee and other produce. He brought produce to Boston Massachusetts on the ship of Solomon Dockendorff. To be sure he got his money, Solomon asked his to come home with him, where he met Solomon’s sister, Jane Dockendorff. Alexander went back to the West Indies, sold out, and moved to Round Pond, Maine, and married Jane. They had 14 children: Janet, Alexander, Margaret, Nancy, Jane, Mary, Solomon, Donald, John, William, Bettie, Edmund, Joseph and Lydia.
