La Grande Woman Takes Own Life
Mrs. W.D. Shafer, 27, committed suicide at her farm home three miles east of La Grande, Saturday morning of last week, by shooting herself in the head with a revolver.
The body was found by the husband on his return from La Grande shortly after noon that day. No cause is assigned for the act.
