Thomas G. Martin, a young man well known here died last Friday morning at the residence of his brother-in-law, Jas. H. White. Some years ago the young man passed through a severe attack of diptheria since which time he has never enjoyed perfect health.
His death was very sudden and a great surprise to many who did not know he had been ill. The day before he had complained some of a cold and Dr. Day was summoned to attend him but nothing serious was apprehended. His death is supposed to have been from heart failure.
The funeral took place last Sunday, Rev. S.M. Driver, of the Methodist church, officiating.
