Arleta Lucille Hiatt, 86, of Kennewick died Monday, April 17, 1995, at Life Care Center of Kennewick.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Summerville Cemetery. Viewing will precede the service at 2 p.m. in the chapel at the cemetery. Services are under the direction of Mueller’s Chapel of the Falls of Kennewick.
Mrs. Hiatt was born Nov. 12, 1910, at Summerville and spent most of her life in La Grande. She attended Island City School and La Grande Catholic Academy and graduated from La Grande High School.
She married Merlin D. Hiatt on March 9, 1932, in La Grande. She spent the last three years of her life with her son Eldon, and his wife, Linda, of Burbank, Wash. She was a member the Eagles Auxiliary Aerie No. 259 of La Grande.
Survivors include her husband, Merlin D. Hiatt, La Grande; daughter, Merlarae Bonner, Portland; sons, Alvin Hiatt of La Grande, Tom Hiatt of Baker City and Eldon Hiatt of Burbank, Wash.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Her son Jerry Hiatt; sisters May Colt and Ada Goss; and brother Brook Colt died earlier.
