Wallowa, Wallowa County, Oregon

Arba M. Elledge of Wallowa died August 16, 1978 at the Wallowa Memorial Hospital.

Born May 4, 1900 at Summerville, he was the son of Thomas and Lillian Elledge.

Mr. Elledge was a farm owner, retired, and he lived in Wallowa County from 1919 until 1938, Umatilla County from 1943 to 1962, and in Wallowa from 1962 to 1978.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Wallowa.

On March 2, 1920, he was married at Enterprise to Ada May Ray who preceded him in death on July 25, 1962.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 19 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wallowa Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with President Dallas McCrae officiating assisted by Bob Lamm and Lorin Peterson.

A duet was sung by Carol McCrae and Terry Tillery, “In The Garden.” Carol McCrae also sang “Precious Lord Take My Hand.” Accompanied by Amy Lou Werst on the piano.

Pall bearers were Bob Evans, Dale Lamm, Bill Fisher, Jack Coleman, Marion McCrae and Glade Jackson.

Survivors are sisters Mrs. Lloyd (Arleta) McCrae and Mrs. Charles (Ione) Berry of Wallowa, nieces and nephews.

Bollman Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
