Thomas Richard Conklin 69, Cove, died Sunday of a cardiac failure, near his home.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 10 a. m. in the Cove Cemetery with Rev. William S. Woodman of St. Peters Episcopal Church in charge of the services with the assistance of Cove Lodge No. 91 A. F. & A. M.
“Tom” Conklin was born Sept. 4, 1900 to Albert and Fanny Conklin, he has lived in Cove all of his life and is a member of the Church of Ascension Episcopal Church; Past Master Cove Lodge 91 A. F. & A. M.; Past Patron Cherry Chapter No. 117, Order of Eastern Star; Member of Cove City Council and a member of the Grande Ronde Hospital Board. He attended Oregon State College in Corvallis.
He leaves his wife Helen; a son, Thomas Richard Conklin, Cove; one daughter, Mrs. Clarice Gayle (LeRoy) Childers, Wallowa and five grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Services and arrangements are entrusted to the care of Dempsey’s Funeral Chapel.
