Mrs. Bessie M. Childers, 76, prominent Cove resident, died Wednesday at her home.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Daniels Funeral Home and burial will take place in Summerville cemetery.
Born at Lower Cove, Mrs. Childers had lived in Union County all her life. She was a member of the Cove Baptist church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Childers, in 1947. Survivors are a son, LeRoy Childers, Cove: a daughter, Mrs. Iola Robinson, Salem: a brother, Joe Gray, La Grande: a sister, Mrs. Eugene Millering, La Grande: four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
