Rova M. Bomboy, 93, Pendleton, died Friday, Jan. 20, 1984 at Delamarter Care Center, Pendleton. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Pendleton, with burial at Olney Cemetery, Pendleton.
She was born Oct. 18, 1890, at Pendleton, the daughter of William and Xantippe Lee Bowman. She had lived in Pendleton all her life. [Rova’s first husband, George Christy, died in 1935].
On July 1, 1955 she was married to Bruce Bomboy. He died in 1966. Mrs. Bomboy was a member of the First Christian Church, Pendleton. She had been a member of Pauline Rebekah Lodge 13, since March 5, 1920. Pauline Rebekah Lodge will conduct services at the chapel.
Survivors include a daughter, Evelyn Johnson, Seattle; a stepdaughter, Esther Bomboy Stroble, Pendleton; a niece, Daphne Schwenn, Seattle; a nephew, Frank Molstrom, Pendleton; and five grandchildren. Two sisters died earlier.
