William Peter Beaudoin Jr. died Sept. 8, 2005, at VA Cancer Center in Seattle, Washington. He was 79 years old.

Beaudoin was born August 27, 1926 in Enterprise to William Peter Sr. and Alma Hattie Beaudoin. He graduated from Enterprise High School in 1944. Following school he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corp and fought in World War II.

He married Elizabeth Anna Burns on June 3, 1950. For 30 years he worked in construction and tended to the Beaudoin Ranch. During his retired life he became active in the VFW becomming the District Commander and All-American Department Commander for the state of Oregon.

Beaudoin is survived by his wife, Betty Beaudoin of Enterprise, sons Pete Beaudoin of Enterprise, Richard Beaudoin of Portland, daughters Michelle Rhodes of Aberdeen, Wash., Renee Evarts of Enterprise and his two brothers Pierre and Paul Beaudoin.

Memorial services were held Sept. 13 at the Bollman Funeral Home in Enterprise. A Requiem mass was held on Sept. 14 at St. Katherine Catholic Church, which was followed by military internment at Enterprise Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Ladies Aux. Post or St. Katherine Catholic Church.

William Peter Beaudoin Jr., 79, of Enterprise died Sept. 8 at the VA Cancer Center in Seattle. A recitation of the Rosary will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 13 at Bollman Funeral Home, 315 W. Main St. in Enterprise. A Requiem Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday Sept. 14 at St. Katherine’s Catholic Church, 301 E. Garfield St. in Enterprise. A military burial will follow at the Enterprise Cemetery.

Mr. Beaudoin was born Aug. 27, 1926, to William Peter and Alma Hattie Desler Beaudoin. He graduate from Enterprise High School in 1944, and in the Army Air Forces during World War II.

On June 3, 1950 he married Betty Burns of Wilmington, Delaware. He worked on the family ranch and in construction for 30 years. He was a member of the VFW, becoming All-American District Commander, and All-American Department Commander for Oregon. He spent his life in Enterprise, and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of Enterprise; children, Richard Beaudoin of Portland, Pete Beaudoin and Renee Evarts, both of Enterprise, Michelle Rhodes of Aberdeen, Wash.; two brothers, Paul and Pierre Beaudoin, both of Enterprise; 15 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the cancer fund of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post No. 4307, or to St. Katherine’s Church in care of Bollman Funeral Home.
