Welcome, son of Nathan Herendeen, was born at Smithfield. April 18, 1768. He went to Adams and thence to Farmington with his father. He married (first) in 1794, Elizabeth, daughter of Gideon and Anna Durfee, of Palmyra, New York. He married (second) May 18, 1806, Mercy Gardner.
