EDWARD W. COLLINS was b. in Paris, France, Dec. 25, 1813. No record obtained when he came to America. He came to Cornish from Croydon, in 1857 (?). He m. July 29, 1837, Delilah Forehand of Croydon, dau. of Christopher and Betsey (Walker) Forehand, b. June 11, 1819, and d. on Cornish Flat Sept. 29, 1903. Mr. Collins was a shoemaker and res. on the Flat. He enlisted in the Civil War in the 14th Regt. of N. H. Vols. He d. Oct. 7, 1869. Children, all b. in Croydon:

    i. EDWARD W., JR., b. Nov. 23, 1838; m. Nov. 27, 1867, Allie S. Glidden. He d. Nov. 30, 1895. No children.
ii. HELEN F.. b. Aug. 17, 1841: m. June 17. 1868, William G. Flanders, then a nurseryman of West Lebanon. She d., childless, Aug. 25, 1877.
iii. FRANCES ELLA, 1st, b. May 13,1844; d. March 23, 1846.
iv. FRANCES ELLA. 2d, b. June 12. 1843; m. Feb. 20, 1870, Daniel E. Carroll, then of Cornish. Two children. (See Carroll.) She d. Oct. 29, 1877.
