Tohome Tribe

Tohome Indains. A former Muskhogean tribe of the Gulf coast, speaking a dialect of Choctaw1 . Their cabins stood 8 leagues north of the French settlement at Mobile, on the west side of Mobile river.  The number of warriors was estimated in 1703 at 350. They were allies of the French and had been baptized in the Roman Catholic faith.
