Biographical Sketch of Robert Lee Martin

(See Grant and Woodall).-John Peter, the son of George Caruth and Ellen (Moore) Woodall, was born January 11, 1841. He married January 1, 1871, Mayer M. Cecil, nee Saunders, born May 9, 1842. They were the parents of Mayer Woodall, Born Feb. 7,. 1881; educated in the public schools of the Cherokee Nation, and married at Adair on July 25, 1897.

Robert Lee, the son of Richard Lewis and Nancy Ellen (Rogers) Martin born Aug. 23, 1876. They were the parents of Dane, born July 9, 1898; Edgar, born August 12, 1901; Linnie, born June 25, 1904 and Aena, born July 11, 1907.

Mr. Martin, who is an oil man, and one of the most prominent men of the Osage tribe of Indians, is a member of the Masonic fraternity. Mrs. Martin is a Presbyterian, and a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
