Biographical Sketch of Herman Roubicek
Herman Roubicek, born in Prague on May 2, 1855, was a skilled masseur and chiropodist. He studied at the College of Hydro-Therapeutics near Vienna and mastered Professor Wintemiss’s method. Roubicek married Anna Roubitschck in 1882 and served as a drillmaster in the 24th Sharp-Shooters, earning a medal for marksmanship. He immigrated to Cleveland in 1904, drawn by the country, and continued his profession. Roubicek’s legacy includes two sons, one of whom also pursued a career in the same field.
