Baker City, Oregon Reuben A. Huddleston, 85, was born in Vernon County, Mo., Feb 7?, 1875?, and passed away at his home, 2315 Second St., September 20. He went to Alaska from Oklahoma during the gold rush days and came to Oregon in 1899. He settled in the Burnt River Country in 1913 where he owned a farm until he retired in 1940. He moved to Union where he resided until coming to Baker three years ago. He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Alpha Danford with whom he made his home for many years. Died at Hot Lake, Oregon, Saturday, June 4, 1921, Alice Scarbrough Lemon, age 18 years, 6 months and 22 days. Alice Scarbrough was born November 21, 1903, at Vinita, Oklahoma, moving with her parents to Union in 1907. She was educated in the schools of Union, and was married to Harry Lemon, March 2, 1920. She was operator for the Telephone Co., resigning her position June 1st. She was taken suddenly ill Friday night and died Saturday morning.
