Died at Hot Lake, Oregon, Saturday, June 4, 1921, Alice Scarbrough Lemon, age 18 years, 6 months and 22 days.
Alice Scarbrough was born November 21, 1903, at Vinita, Oklahoma, moving with her parents to Union in 1907.
She was educated in the schools of Union, and was married to Harry Lemon, March 2, 1920. She was operator for the Telephone Co., resigning her position June 1st. She was taken suddenly ill Friday night and died Saturday morning. She was always jolly and good natured, beloved by all who knew her, and her untimely death is deeply deplored.
She is survived by her husband, Harry Lemon; her father, J. M. Scarbrough; three sisters, a twin sister, Anne S. Haynes; Mrs. William Landers of Union; Mrs. Bert Webb, of Baker, Oregon; three brothers, Ray, Roy and Ralph, of Union and many relatives and friends, who extend sincere sympathy to the bereaved ones.
The funeral was held from the residence of her father, Monday, June 6, at 10 a.m., services by Rev. Cook of the Methodist Church, and the body laid to rest in the Union cemetery by the side of her mother, who preceded her to the great beyond several years ago.
