Rick Lonnie Leyva, 29, of Culdesac, Idaho, a former Baker City resident, died May 31, 2001, at Joseph Plains, south of Cottonwood. His body was cremated and no service is planned at this time. Uhlorn Funeral Home at Cottonwood, Idaho, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Leyva was born at Valdese, N.C., on Dec. 31, 1971. He was the son of deaf-mute parents. He had lived in Idaho since April 1972. Mr. Leyva attended schools at Clarkston, Wash., Baker City and Medford. He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Shreffler, Clem – Obituary

Clem Shreffler, 96, of Prairie City, a former Baker City resident, died Feb. 6, 2006, at Prairie City. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Coles Funeral Home, 1950 Place St. Pastor Darrell Johnson of Grace Chapel at Prairie City and Ed Niswender of Calvary Baptist Church at Baker City will officiate.
