Old Ebenezer Church, Effingham County GA – 1757 Burials

Adam Straube died in the night between Jan. 2 and 3, 1757, and was buried the next day.

Christopher Kronenberger, a child of 1 year and 9 months, died Jan. 23, 1757, and was buried the next day.

Mary Magdalene Mohr died July 28, 1757 at the age of 1 year and 10 months, and received Christian burial on the 29th in Bethany.

Michael Walliser died in the night of July 31 and August 1, and was buried Aug. 1, 1757. He had dropsy and was in his best years when he died.

John Conrad Gnann died August 18, 1757 in Bethany, and was buried the 19th, at the age of 1½ years

John George Schneider’s wife gave birth to a still-born child Aug. 20, 1757.

John George Fischer, a child of 1 year and 6 months died at Bethany, Aug. 22, 1757, and was buried the next day.

Hans Michael Schneider died after a brief illness Sept. 27, 1757 at the age of 66 years. He was buried the next morning in Zions Church cemetery.

N. B.-Shortly afterwards his daughter-in-law, the wife of J. G. Schneider, died.

Mary Elizabeth Lechner died Oct. 18, 1757 of epilepsy at the age of 2 months.

John Peter Schubdrein, a child about 1½ years old, died Oct. 16, 1757, and was buried the following Monday the 17th.

Hanna Elizabeth Ziegler, a child of 8 months, died Oct. 21, 1757, and was buried on the 22nd.

Lucas Geiger, the upright schoolmaster on the Plantations, died in the night before Oct. 31, 1757, and was buried on the 31st.

Andrew Fischer, a child, died Nov. 6, 1757 at Bethany, and was quietly buried on the same day.

John George Bunz, a child of 1½ years, died Nov. 13, 1757.

Anna Catharine Graeves, nee Heinrich, died Nov. 21, 1757, and was buried on the 22nd.

John Jacob Tussing, a child of 3 months, died Nov. 25, 1757, and was buried the next day.

Anna Catharine Paulisch, to child, died Dec. 1, 1757, on the Savannah River, and was buried on the 3rd.

Jacob Israel Buerck, a child of 2 months, died Dec. 17, 1757, and was buried on the 18th.

Mary Schubdrein, daughter of Joseph Schubdrein, died Dec. 23, 1757, at the age of 14 months, and was buried the next day.

Mary Elizabeth Niess died Dec. 22, 1757, and the next day received Christian burial at the age of 1 year and 7 months.

Anna Ursula Heck died in the night of Dec. 23 and 24, 1757, and was quietly buried.
