Littreal, passed away at her home in Summerville this morning at the age of 66 years, four months and 19 days. She was the daughter of R. Several days ago, she suffered an attack of La grippe and speedily grew worse until death relieved her from her earthly pain. Mrs. Lichtenhaler was the mother of Hon. D.W. Lichenthaler, of this city. Two Baker County Pioneers Are Gone William S. “Uncle Billy” Lewis, who was a county charge, died in the hospital in Baker, last Friday. He was a native of Virginia, born in 1854. Death Claims Union Pioneer Leon Levy, 79, of Union, pioneer merchant and breeder of thoroughbred cattle, died Friday at La Grande, where he had been ill for 11 months. Mr. Levy was born May 3, 1863, in Pacheco, Cal., and came to Oregon in 1878 with his family. Mr. Levy and his brothers were well known on the Pacific coast for their fine livestock and for many years exhibited at the Pacific International Livestock show and were active in the handling of the Union livestock show. Mr. Levy, one of Eastern Oregon’s most prominent pioneer pharmacists was born to Adolph and Babette Levy March 11, 1880 at Union, and died this morning at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Interested in livestock all his life, he was the founder of the Eastern Oregon Livestock Association in June, 1906. He was honored by the association in 1958.
