4. STEPHEN5 CHASE (Caleb4, Daniel3, Moses2, Aquilla) was b. April 26, 1763; m. , Betsey Batchelder. They lived in Keene. He d. April 6, 1930. Shed. April 12, 1850, aged 83. Children:

i. CALEB, b. Jan. 29, 1789; d. single, aged 26, April 7, 1814.
ii. STEPHEN, JR., b. March 19, 1791. Was killed by a falling tree June S, 1797.
iii. BETSEY, b. April 20, 1793; m. -, Ruel Blake.
iv. BELA, b. Dec. 2, 1795; m. first, Eliza Abbott; m. second, Edee White. He d. Jan. 31, 868.
v. STEPHEN, 2D, b. July 18, 1798; m. Louisa Dickinson.
vi. ZIBA, b. July 12, 1800; d. unm. July 7, 1850.
vii. CHARLES, b. July 17, 1803; m. June 7, 1832, Hannah Chase. He d. Aug. 4. 1866.
viii. HOSEA, b. April 23, 1805; m. Hannah Britton.
ix. REBECCA, b. Jan. 23, 1808; m. first, Joel Kendall; m. second, Hastings Alexander.
x. ALBE, b. July 13, 1812; m. Nov. 13, 1838, Miriam Chase of Keene, dau. of Moses and Miriam (Twitchel) Chase of Athol, Mass., b. Sept. 1, 1820, and d. -March 7, 1900. Lived several years in Cornish, then rem. to Springfield, Vt., where he d. Nov. 1, 1874, and was buried in Keene. Had five children.*

With us thy name shall live
Through succeeding years Embalmed with all our hearts can give,
Our praises and our tears.

* A son was b. to them in Cornish July 31, 1850.
